Lady Broncos suffers first defeat
The Denton Lady Broncos clinched the District 5-5A title with their 10-0 destruction of Denison on Friday, also earning a tiebreaker over Wichita Falls via a 2-1 win in late February. Against Wichita Falls Rider on Tuesday, Denton looked as if it was going to hold on for another victory, but two goals from Rider's Maddi Kyle ended the Lady Broncos' bid for a perfect season with a 2-1 loss.
Baseball: Broncos let lead slip away in 5-4 loss to Denison
Denton had a 2-0 lead on an RBI triple and steal of home from Brooks Bedinger in the first inning following Bronco pitcher Wyatt Folsom striking out the side to start the game.
