Signing day: Liberty foursome on way to the college ranks
Four Liberty Christian athletes are heading to the college level following Wednesday's signing day ceremony in Argyle. Track star Maddie Willet will continue her career at Texas A&M in the fall while Bruce "BJ" Butler is on his way to Grand Canyon University. Brayden Dragoo signed to play baseball at Division II Harding University. Gracie Hundley will compete in gymnastics at Southern Connecticut State University.
Football: Ryan's Gabriel Douglas selected for Under Armour camp
The roster for the Under Armour All-America camp series in Dallas has been announced, and two Denton-area athletes are on it. Those athletes are Ryan junior wide receiver Gabriel Douglas, a Texas Tech commit, and Liberty Christian quarterback Will Kuehne. Kuehne is committed to North Texas.

She finished 38th as a sophomore before jumping all the way to fourth place this year. “To the best of our knowledge, she’s the only one from TAPPS to ever qualify for this national meet,” Liberty cross country coach Tyler Curbo said. “We always knew she could [qualify]; she just had bad races each time.
