FORT WORTH -- North Texas completed its first outdoor meet, highlighted by four podium finishes from the throwers group, Saturday at the TCU Invitational.
The Mean Green set several personal bests and earned five podium finishes overall.
On Friday, freshman Linnea Larsson-Huusko finished third in the hammer throw with a personal-best 50.23 meters -- fourth-best in school history.
Junior Kevone Kennedy placed second in the discus with a personal-best 52.70. Freshman Karl Sralla finished fifth with a throw of 50.18.
On Saturday, freshman Kristyn Archuleta came in third in the javelin with a personal-best 45.43 meters -- second-best in UNT history.
Sophomore Javier Lopez-Ibarra made his outdoor debut with a javelin victory on a personal-best throw of 60.29 -- fifth-best in school history.
In the women's 400-meter relay, UNT finished sixth as Bria Williams, Breanna Eckels, Jahyda Dixon and Jazmine Martin clocked in at 47.06. The men's team also finished sixth, as Adam Hasan, Jamison Justice, Howard Grant and Na'Jee Wickliff touched in 42.24.
Martin finished third in the triple jump at 11.94.
In the final event, North Texas finished eighth in the 1,600 relay, as Artesha Richardson, Martin, Williams and Chelsea Crayton clocked in at 3:56.50. The men came in fifth when Justice, James Cole, Tevaun Scallion and Hasan finished in 3:18.12.
North Texas will compete Saturday in Texas-Arlington's Bobby Lane Invitational at Maverick Stadium.
